Moon Girls

from To the Moon by Ruth Acuff

about

A note about "To the Moon":
This EP is in honor and memory of my best friend, who left this world at a young age, but pressed a lasting imprint on my life. It is released with hope, that those who have lost someone important to them may find comfort in knowing they are not alone, and that our dearly departed are remembered and loved.

lyrics

Moon Girls

Goodbye, goodbye. I’ll hold you in the next life.
Lean back, relax. All your fear is gone.

My moon girl she takes your heart,
Softens up the hardest part.
Takes your pain and lets it go,
Makes your sadness melt like snow.

And part of me will always be, you.

No one else is quite like you,
No one else on earth.
No amount of gold and jewels
Could replace your worth.

And part of me will always be, you.

Goodbye, goodbye. I’ll hold you in the next life.
